Headquartered in Wichita, Kan., Cablecom Inc. recently opened an office in Bella Vista. Managed and operated by Zackery House, the shop offers telecommunication consulting and installation in Northwest Arkansas.

House installs computer network cabling, cable television, telephone wiring and fiber optics for new and existing buildings. However, clients must order cable television and Internet service from local providers.

Consultation for the client’s telecommunication needs is included in the contract, House said.

Cablecom targets mostly commercial contracts, and House said the average order includes 40 telephone and 40 central processing unit cables. A project that size produces about $300,000 in revenue, House said.

Individuals can also hire Cablecom to outfit a new house or upgrade an existing home.

Within the first year of business, House expects make 100 installations, and he anticipates needing three more full-time employees.
