Pharmaceutical titan Shering Oncology Biotech of Morristown, N.J., recently set up an educational forum in Las Vegas through A Moment’s Notice Inc. in Fayetteville. The local meeting and event planner created the sojourn from scratch for Greg Yarbrough, Shering’s area representative.

This was the first national incentive trip organized by A Moment’s Notice. Karin Alvarado, the firm’s sales and marketing manager, planned the entire event including all travel arrangements, receptions, golfing and additional activities.

The June 29-July 1 trip included 71 people, mostly physician guests of Shering sales representatives. Two doctors from the Arkansas River Valley were among a nationwide contingent.

Coordinated educational forum and incentive trips can range from $20,000 to $70,000 for a group of 100, Alvarado said. But she said A Moment’s Notice can tailor trips and events to fit the budget of any business.

“There’s a real need for companies to provide incentive programs to encourage their employees to better themselves,” Alvarado said. “It adds a reason for them to stay with the firm, and can be a tool to help a sales force reach their goals.

“It’s also beneficial to clients. This trip gave the doctors a chance to hear about the latest breakthrough in treatment of renal cell carcinoma.

A Moment’s Notice, in its fourth year of operation, also handles data management, marketing and a variety of other promotional and incentive activities for companies. The firm employs five people in Fayetteville.
