Wewers Leaves Community Bank for Summit
Chris Wewers, the president and chief financial officer of Community Bank, is leaving Northwest Arkansas for Arkadelphia, where he will be chief financial officer at Summit Bank.
The change will be effective July 2.
Wewers, 29, attended college in Arkadelphia and worked at Horizon Bank in that city from 1991 to 1998. His parents live in nearby Hope.
Wewers said Summit Bank is larger (with assets of $253 million) and is “looking to grow.” Community Bank, with assets of $210 million, has eight locations in Northwest Arkansas. Community Bank moved its home office from Elkins to Fayetteville last year.
