Multicom Media Group Inc. of Rogers has a lease-management agreement and plans to buy television station K20CT from Christians Incorporated for Christ Inc. of Branson, Mo. Multicom began broadcasting Spanish-language television programs on the station 24-hours a day on March 16.

K20CT is broadcast on UHF channel 20 in Northwest Arkansas and on Ozark Wireless Cable System’s channel 71 in Springdale.

For the past eight years, the station was operated by Victory Family Worship Center of Springdale with Pastor Billy Coffman overseeing the operation. Coffman said he is trying to buy another Northwest Arkansas television station and plans to air four to six hours of “farm TV” a day in addition to Christian broadcasting.

Although the format has already changed, the sale is scheduled to be completed by mid-summer.

Tim Brooker is president of Multicom. The change in format from Christian to Latino programming is in response to the influx of Latinos to the area. The station will be Arkansas’ first affiliate of Hispanic Television Network Inc.
