A 1997, $15 million class-action lawsuit filed against former Rogers company Hudson Foods Inc. was dismissed March 16 in the Little Rock Circuit Court.

Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale purchased Hudson in January 1998 after Hudson was crippled by an outbreak of e. coli bacteria traced to its Columbus, Neb. plant. The Hudson family, including founder James “Red” Hudson, sold to Tyson for 5.9 million shares of Tyson stock and $82 million cash.
