Mortgage Group Introduces E-Cards

Bank of Arkansas Mortgage Group in Bentonville, a division of Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa, recently introduced virtual business cards to Northwest Arkansas. Mary Walts, assistant vice president of the Bentonville group, said company vice president Tom Williams in Tulsa came up with the idea.
Four of the firm’s local loan originators are using the colorful cards as a marketing tool by e-mailing them to Realtors, developers and other prospective clients. About 35 of 56 loan originators are using the cards companywide.
Walts said the mortgage company is already getting good feedback, and the hope is that clients will use the virtual business cards for referrals. She couldn’t disclose the company’s investment in the product. But she did say virtual business cards may also be printed out as postcards and mailed to clients.
