Owners Teresa Brown and Nancy Kendrick opened Secret Ingredients just in time for the holiday shopping season. Offering mainly dishes and glassware, the shop was designed to suit anyone with a kitchen and a taste for higher-quality settings.

China and silver pieces are not part of Secret Ingredients’ product line, but the 3,600-SF store carries hard-to-find dishes such as the European line Vietri. Some hand-painted items can be found in the shop, too.

Brown said her culinary store stands out from others in the area by offering several unique conveniences. A gift registry for all occasions to help patrons find the perfect present, local gift delivery, and gift wrapping make shopping at Secret Ingredients simple.

Cooking demonstrations are another service provided through the shop.

Brown intends to extend the store hours during the holiday season.

Secret Ingredients marks Brown’s and Kendrick’s first retail venture. Before opening a business together, the two had been friends for more than 10 years. They met when they were both hosting foreign exchange students.
