Patty Cake, Patty Cake Bakery Men Remake Site
A group of local developers, through their holding company Bakery Building LLC, have restored the old Superior Linen Cleaners building at 326 N. West Ave. in Fayetteville. McIlroy Bank & Trust Co. issued a $1.1 million loan June 30 for the restaurant, retail and office complex.
The 14,000-SF building, constructed in 1904, was completely redone by the investors who include Greg T. House, through his Houses Development Co. and East Avenue Investment Group; David A. Buckley and John H. Tyson, through their B.T. Properties Inc.; and John L. Meier through his Dunbar Development Co.
Located in the Downtown/Dickson Enhancement Project Inc.’s historic sector, the multi-use facility borders the northwest side of the municipal parking lot that stretches from behind the Ozark Brewing Co. and Jose’s Restaurant & Club to Cable Car Pizza and Nick’s Steaks & Seafood.
Georgia’s Gyros Restaurant & Bar has already leased 25 percent of the new facility, and negotiations are under way with J.R.’s Light Bulb Club & Pizzeria for the lion’s share of the rest of the building. About 2,500 SF would be left for another restaurant or office. The remaining space includes a balcony and mezzanine deck that overlooks the parking area.
