The building at 2217 College Ave. that previously housed Jokers Comedy Zone will soon be an upscale restaurant with a lounge, cigar room and billiards room.

The renovation is expected to be completed by April, says Tracy Hoskins, owner of the building.

The new 18,000-SF restaurant complex will be called Cool Water Village. Coy Kaylor will manage the restaurant. Kaylor owned Coy’s Place in Fayetteville and most recently served as manager of the restaurant in the Bentonville Ramada Inn.

Hoskins is also renovating the other half of the building, which houses Metro Collision Centers. That business will more than double in size to 20,000 SF when renovation is completed in April.

Rob Sharp is the architect for the building renovation, and Jim Ramsey is the architect for the restaurant interior.

Hoskins says the new restaurant will specialize in prime rib and lobster and prices for entrees will range from about $10 to $40.

In the meantime, Bob Riggins has taken over as manager of The Atrium, the restaurant in the Bentonville Ramada. Riggins, the restaurant’s executive chef, says he’ll change the dinner menu every month. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
