Springdale developer Tom Terminella has two projects in the works that will total close to $4.5 million each.

The first of which, a 7.5-acre storage facility at 1654 E. Robinson Ave. in Springdale, will be called Saf-T-Stores and is expected to open sometime in August. That $900,000 facility is the first of five identical storage parks Terminella plans to build in Northwest Arkansas.

The facility will include 750 indoor storage units totaling around 120,000 SF and 200 outdoor storage units that may be used for recreational vehicles and motor homes. It will feature 24-hour access, and Gary Combs’ Basic Construction Co. of Springdale is the general contractor.

Terminella also has a $4.5 million stake in Fayetteville’s new Candlewood Subdivision north of Arkansas Highway 265 where it intersects with Township Road. Construction on his 59 lots there will begin within three months and half of the lots are already sold through his holding company Candlewood LLC.

The high-end residential development will feature 3,000 SF homes starting at around $400,000. McIlroy Bank & Trust Co. is handling Terminella’s financing and Basic is the general contractor.

Half of Terminella’s Candlewood properties have already sold.
