Speaking of Cooper, its commercial property division is on the acquisition trail again, this time with a $15.2 million deal.

Cooper Realty Investments has returned to Hot Springs to buy Phase 1 of the Cornerstone Marketplace shopping center. The property encompasses 16.8 acres and 148,500 SF of retailer space.

The seller/developer is Garrett Enterprises, owned by the Gilbert Garrett family.

Scott Selig of Selig Commercial Real Estate in Hot Springs brokered the deal.

You may recall that Cooper’s first Hot Springs buy was the 124,000-SF Temperance Hill Square Shopping Center, originally known as the Factory Outlet Mall.

The project was included in last year’s seven-property, $33.2 million deal with Little Rock’s Bailey Family Properties LLC.
