Llama Asset Management Co. is about to become Garner Asset Management Co.

Rebecca Garner, who purchased Llama Asset Management last month from Alice Walton, says the name change should be finalized within the next few weeks. As soon as it’s official, Garner will be mailing postcards to her clients to inform them of the name change.

Garner says the papers were signed April 2 to complete the deal.

Llama Asset Management, with about $179 million in investments, was previously part of Walton’s Llama Holding Co.
