Green with Envy
It’s been nearly a year since Stanley D. Green left Southwestern Energy Co. where he had been chief financial officer and executive vice president, but the ties remain strong. Especially the financial ties.
Recent filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission reveal Green’s financial arrangements with the company: He received a lump sum of $121,000; a payment of $34,740 under the company’s former annual and long-term incentive compensation plan; and health insurance for up to 18 months.
Most lucrative, however, is his consulting fee: 36 payments of $24,584 each over a three-year period. For readers who don’t have a calculator handy, that works out to $885,024.
We imagine stockholders wish they were so well taken care of.
