Taqueria reopens after drug raid
Taqueria, a Mexican restaurant at 505 Thomas Boulevard in Springdale, reopened after closing briefly as a result of a raid by the 4th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
The task force raided the restaurant Feb. 10, confiscating four pounds of marijuana, three and a half ounces of methamphetamine and four ounces of cocaine at the business. The owner, Abundio Andrade of Springdale, faces felony charges of possession of the three substances with intent to deliver. He is also charged with three counts of illegal delivery of cocaine.
Lt. Greg Tabor of the Fayetteville Police Department says the only two employees there were arrested and police locked the door. But the restaurant was open for business again a day later.
