Hunt Stock Sales
Some top executives with J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. of Lowell have sold more than $20 million of the company’s stock since the first of the year. Much of the activity occurred in February when the company’s stock reached record levels.
Wayne Garrison, chairman of the company’s board of directors, has sold 384,000 shares of the stock since Feb. 4. In the first sale, Garrison sold 200,000 shares valued at $4.8 million. The following month, he sold another 84,000 shares with a value of $2.3 million. The last sale, July 1, was 100,000 shares valued at $3.7 million.
Lloyd Peterson, a director of the company, sold 200,000 shares on Feb. 15 for $5.15 million.
Paul Bergant, executive vice president of marketing, sold almost $3 million worth of the stock in June.
J.B. Hunt, the company’s founder and senior chairman of the board, has sold almost 10,000 shares this year valued at almost $300,000. Hunt also exercised an option to buy 1,600 shares for $18.50 a share on June 1.
However, last year, Hunt sold more than 300,000 shares of the company valued at $5.2 million.
