Ruby Tuesday Plans Bentonville Restaurant

Ruby Tuesday Inc., a chain of casual restaurants based in Mobile, Ala., is planning to build a one-story, 4,977-SF restaurant at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 102 and U.S. Highway 71B (Walton Boulevard) in Bentonville.
The large-scale development will go before the Bentonville Planning Commission on June 2.
Troy Galloway, Bentonville director of planning, says Ruby Tuesday wants to have the restaurant open by Christmas. The restaurant will be a half-mile from the headquarters of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Bart Sides, regional director of real estate for Ruby Tuesday, says the company is also looking at other sites in Northwest Arkansas.
Ruby Tuesday Inc. runs restaurants under the names Ruby Tuesday, Mozzarella’s Cafe and Tia’s Tex-Mex. The company had 393 restaurants nationwide as of Nov. 29, 1997.
