Tom Flores, president of CSF Franchise Group of Fayetteville, says five new Cafe Santa Fe Mexican restaurants will be open by the end of the year.

Cafe Santa Fe currently has six restaurants: a corporate store in Springdale and one franchise each in Fayetteville, Harrison, Rogers, Eureka Springs and Joplin, Mo. Flores began selling franchises of the restaurant in 1997.

The new restaurants will be in Hot Springs, Benton, Mountain Home, Fort Smith and Neosho, Mo.

Flores says he is also looking at opening franchises in Russellville, Sherwood, Searcy, Pittsburg, Kan., Muskogee, Okla. and Nixa-Ozark, Mo.

Flores says he plans to sell 12 franchises per year.

“I think we’re at a point where we can accommodate the expansion,” he says.

A proposed deal for a second Cafe Santa Fe in Fayetteville in Crossroads Village Shopping Center fell through last winter, Flores says.
