Warren’s Shoes, a chain based in Paris, Ark., plans to open a store in Fayetteville’s Northwest Arkansas Mall by Aug. 1.

The 3,407-SF store will be Warren’s ninth. The company has four stores in Fort Smith, two in Texarkana, Texas, one in Muskogee, Okla., and one in Paris. Besides Warren’s Shoes, the company owns three other shoe stores in Fort Smith’s Central Mall: The Athletic Shop, The Connie Shop and The Cobbler.

Warren’s Shoes sells women’s shoes and handbags. The company was started in Paris in the 1940s by William Warren. Holly Warren Harris, Bill Warren’s granddaughter, will manage the Fayetteville store.

Departure, a luggage and travel accessories store, opened June 19 in the Luby’s wing of the mall.

Departure is owned by Mason Hiba, who also owns Mason’s Leather Boutique in the mall.
