Farmington Grocery Store Mortgaged for $300,000
The new Marvin’s IGA grocery store in Farmington was mortgaged May 15 for $300,000.
Consumers Thriftway Inc. of Fayetteville received the mortgage from McIlroy Bank and Trust of Fayetteville. The loan was signed by James L. Marvin Jr. as president of the company.
The 24,000-SF store opened April 1 at 271 W. Main St. in Farmington. Marvin bought the 3-acre lot in the Farmington Commercial Center in February 1997 from Commercial Properties Inc. of Farmington. Marvin received a $1.6 million mortgage to build the store.
