Stephen A. Griffin of Fort Smith plans to build a McDonald’s restaurant, a Phillips 66 brand convenience store and an automatic car wash at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 102 and Phyllis Street in Bentonville.
Griffin received a $750,000 mortgage from Arkansas State Bank on March 26 to begin work on the $2.5 million project. Griffin listed his business as G & K Oil Co.
Griffin bought the two acres on May 24, 1996, from Agnes Slinkard for $342,000. He received a $235,488 mortgage on the land from Arkansas State Bank on Feb. 17.
