Cafe Santa Fe Plans New Restaurant
Tom Flores, president of CSF Franchise Group, which franchises Cafe Santa Fe Mexican restaurants, says he is negotiating a lease to open a Cafe Santa Fe in Fayetteville’s Crossroads Village, a $12 million development under construction at the corner of Arkansas highways 45 and 265.
Flores says the deal should be completed by February and the restaurant opened by mid-summer. It will be owned by Sad Haleema, who owns the Cafe Santa Fe in downtown Fayetteville.
The shopping center is being developed by Don Cozart. A McDonald’s restaurant and Taco Bell are already open at the shopping center, where construction is scheduled to be finished by August.
Flores owns the Cafe Santa Fe in Springdale. Other franchises are located in Fayetteville, Rogers, Eureka Springs, Harrison and Joplin, Mo. Flores says a franchise was recently awarded to Hot Springs. The company is also considering franchises in Fort Smith, Siloam Springs, Mountain Home and Russellville.
Cafe Santa Fe began franchising restaurants in 1997.
