Overland Square Lot Sold

Aaron and Rebecca Burkes purchased a lot in the Overland Square commercial subdivision in Lowell on June 2.
The couple received a $337,500 mortgage from Peoples Bank & Trust Co. of Mountain Home and paid $98,000 for the lot. Leroy Barker, the building inspector for Lowell, says no large-scale development plans have been submitted to the city for approval that detail plans for the land.
The Burkes bought the lot from D. Eric Covington. The land was transferred to Covington on June 2 from Overland Development Inc., which is developing the subdivision. Covington is president of the company.
