OKC Bombing Memorial

You may have heard about the memorial planned for the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing. The winning design, featuring 168 empty chairs, was selected last week from more than 624 entries.

But you may not have known there was a local entry in the competition. Architectural firm Perry L. Butcher & Associates teamed up with local sculptor Henry Menke in a design that, while it didn’t make the final cut, was shown in a CBS News story about the competition.
