An expansion of the Marvin’s IGA store in Siloam Springs is being financed with a $1.3 million loan from the Bank of Gravett.

Marvin’s Inc. of Salisaw, Okla., received the loan May 22 and secured it with land the company owns in downtown Siloam Springs.

The note is due Nov. 22 and has an annual percentage rate of 9.25 percent. James Marvin signed the note as president of the company and Pamela Marvin signed as secretary. Marvin owns several grocery stores in Northwest Arkansas.

Plans include relocating a hardware store in the east end of the building to two lots the company recently purchased across the street from the store. The area that housed the hardware store will be incorporated into the grocery store. Marvin has received approval of the city planning commission for the changes.
