Gov. Mike Beebe (D) said on his return trip from China that he may travel to France this summer for an agricultural-related economic development trip.
Apparently, he will.
The Governor's office released Beebe's schedule on Thursday (June 21) saying he will head to France on Friday.
The week-long trip will focus on agriculture and economic deve
lopment. Beebe will return on Friday, June 29 and hold a press conference on Monday, July 2.
Beebe's office said that the French government, which is wanting to promote its agricultural exports, is footing most of the bill for the trip. Beebe plans to stay an extra day to visit with French companies doing business in Arkansas at the state's expense.
