Is Springdale Finally Getting a Starbucks?

If you’re a Starbucks drinker in Springdale, it’s an oddity you’re aware of.

There are a combined seven locations in Bentonville, Fayetteville and Rogers for the popular coffee retailer.

In Springdale? None.

But a commercial real estate sign propped up along Arkansas Highway 412 has us wondering if that is about to change.

Haag Brown Commercial Real Estate & Development of Jonesboro is promoting a new retail development for the property of the former Joe’s Italian Grill in Springdale, which has been closed since January when a fire broke out inside the building.

A real estate source tells us the proposed development already has two tenants under contract, but didn’t reveal who they were.

HBC officials didn’t reveal anything, either, when we called for a comment. What is revealing, though, is that the company has a track record of successful Starbucks developments in Jonesboro, Searcy and most recently on Wedington Drive in Fayetteville.

We should find out soon enough if Springdale can be added to that list.
