Four Arkansas business leaders were inducted into the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame on Feb. 13 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock.

Honorees at the 17th annual event were:

Donald “Buddy” Wray of Springdale, retired president of Tyson Foods Inc.

Al Bell of North Little Rock, former executive and owner of Stax Records.

Millie Ward of Little Rock, co-founder and former president of Stone Ward.

Stephen L. LaFrance of Pine Bluff, former owner of USA Drug, was a posthumous inductee.

This year’s honorees joined 66 others who have been enshrined since the hall was established by the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business in 1999.

Greg Lee, a Walton College alum and the retired chief administrative officer and international president of Tyson Foods, chaired the selection process, which included the solicitation of nominations through a committee of 18 business leaders and the selection of the inductees by a committee of nine business and community leaders.

The Hall of Fame is permanently housed in the atrium of the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development at the Walton College in Fayetteville.
