Berryville Hires Former Camden Mayor To Lead Economic Development Efforts

Chris Claybaker, previously the mayor of the southern Arkansas city of Camden, has been hired as the economic development director for the city of Berryville.

He will also serve as executive director of the city’s chamber of commerce, according to a news release issued Feb. 2 by Berryville Mayor Tim McKinney.

Claybaker was elected mayor of Camden in 1995 and served continuously until losing a runoff election to Marie Trisollini last November.

He also served a year (2012-2013) as president of the Arkansas Municipal League, a service and advocacy organization for Arkansas municipalities.
