Bentonville Hunters

Bentonville got plenty of attention recently during an episode of the HGTV reality television series “House Hunters.”

The program aired Aug. 17 and followed Nashville transplants Michael and Lauren Chao in their search for a new home.

Trina Hammond, an executive broker with RE/MAX Real Estate Results in Bentonville, worked with the couple, who ultimately decided on a “fixer-upper” just a few blocks from the downtown square.

Chao paid $195,000 for the 2,700-SF home in January — the episode was filmed several months ago — and went to work on updating the residence.

If you saw the episode and were wondering how the renovation turned out, you’re in luck. HGTV cameras will return to Bentonville this month to film an episode of a new series called “Where Are They Now,” which updates viewers on past “House Hunters” families.
