Infographics Posters Idea Wins G60 Pitch Contest
Yoon Kim recently won the G60 Pitch Contest, an entrepreneurial idea competition put on by Startup Junkie, for his idea to produce Infographics Summary Posters.
Kim was inspired by a how-to poster on infant care. It occurred to him that the infographic the poster showed could provide parents, at a glance, with information that otherwise might have required them to read a number of parenting books and magazines.
Immediately, his mind began running with ideas for potentially helpful infographics posters.
“Imagine if I was a bike mechanic. Wouldn’t it be cool if I had a poster with all the bike parts and what they do, all in one place?” Kim said.
His next project is to create and sell a poster summarizing the Northwest Arkansas startup scene, as he thinks there is some ambiguity as to the amount of potential there is in the area — especially in certain industries — for entrepreneurs.
The service is also available to businesses and individuals who want to create posters with their own information.
Kim has hired Zack Brown, a recent John Brown University graduate, to design the infographics.
A journalist by trade, Kim runs a business called Blogs for Brands LLC, which connects freelance writers from throughout the world to opportunities for writing blogs or other materials for various companies.
