The Event Group Lands Magnolia Gardens

The Event Group of Fayetteville is now handling all bookings at the Magnolia Gardens Event Venue in downtown Springdale.
Magnolia Gardens, a manicured, multi-acre location at 501 N. Main St., closed briefly during the summer before reopening under the new management.
The bed and breakfast aspect of Magnolia Gardens will not return, but as a site for weddings and social events such as family reunions and high school proms, Magnolia Gardens has a big future, said Shellie Morrison, president of TEG.
“I want to see about 30 bookings next year,” she said.
Morrison is hosting an open house and mixer at Magnolia Gardens on Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Nestled along the west bank of Spring Creek, Magnolia Gardens features a diverse and mature assortment of flowers, trees and shrubs, as well as a veranda, dining hall and sunroom.
The owner of Magnolia Gardens, Carol Kendrick, approached Morrison and asked if she wanted to assume management of the venue. Morrison jumped at the chance.
“We’re thrilled about it,” she said. “As long as it’s been there, no one has known about it.”
A new website, magnoliagardensnwa.com, debuted Oct. 21, and TEG will market the outdoor-indoor venue to its network of contacts. TEG is also the event planner at the Chancellor Hotel in Fayetteville.
TEG will handle booking, setup, food and drink, while clients will be responsible for additions such as music and photography. During peak times — Saturdays in May, June, September and October — rates are from $4,500-$4,800. Otherwise, rates are from $1,800-$2,000.
