Legacy Announces Grand Opening Activities at Fayetteville Location
Legacy National Bank of Springdale is planning a week’s worth of activities to officially celebrate the grand opening of its new Fayetteville banking center.
The new bank branch, at 1325 E. Joyce Blvd., officially opened its doors to customers August 5.
It represents the fifth branch location for the bank, joining existing locations in Springdale (3) and Rogers.
The Fayetteville office will initially be staffed by eight employees with capacity for 12.
Beginning Monday, August 26, bank officials will give away prizes throughout the week, and a ribbon cutting with diplomats from the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce is scheduled August 27 at 10 a.m.
Two radio stations — KKIX-FM, 103.9, KEZA-FM, 107.9 — will broadcast from the bank during the week, one August 26, another August 30.
“Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly”, a statewide sports talk show, will also originate from the bank branch on August 28, three days before the first football game of the season for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Legacy Bank officials will also present a $1,000 check to both the Fayetteville Public Library and the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.
Don Gibson, CEO of Legacy Bank, said Lisa Broccard will be the branch manager of the Fayetteville location. Broccard has been with the bank since it was chartered in March 2005.
“She was working at a Bank of America location on Joyce Boulevard when we hired her, and I told her one day I would bring her back to Joyce with Legacy; I’ve finally fulfilled my promise,” Gibson joked.
As of March 31, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., Legacy Bank had assets totaling $275.8 million and deposits totaling $212.5 million.
