Nano News Plentiful this Spring
If you have reason to thumb through industrial-type trade magazines, you might have noticed new ads for nGlide and TuffTek.
Those products, remember, are made by Springdale-based NanoMech Inc.
The former is an industrial grease additive that improves machine performance by creating a near frictionless environment, while the latter is a coating for industrial cutting tools that extends the tool’s life by up to 1,000 percent, according to the company.
The new ads are part of an effort by CJRW, which is helping with a national marketing push designed to introduce NanoMech and its products to new audiences. The ads also contain links to Internet videos.
The videos show why company chairman and CEO Jim Phillips — and others — are convinced NanoMech’s products could be transformative for companies like John Deere and Black & Decker.
We look forward to finding out.
Nano Gets Bigger
NanoMech also recently said former Motorola chairman and CEO Christopher Galvin has joined its board of directors.
That news came on the heels of word NanoMech also recently completed a round of private funding, raising more than $5 million for its next phase of growth.
(We still think an announcement regarding the expansion of its current Springdale facility could come almost any day.)
In what might be related news, Phillips wrote in an email that NanoMech currently is hiring “sales reps, machinists, mechanics, etc.”
