Rogers-based CCF Brands Inc., which produces eggs under the Great Day Farms label, has joined The Sustainability Consortium, a global organization that advances the measurement and reporting of consumer product sustainability.

Jointly administered by the University of Arkansas and Arizona State University, with additional operations at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, the consortium has more than 90 member companies working together to build a scientific foundation that drives innovation for improved consumer product sustainability.

CCF will participate in the consortium’s food, beverage and agriculture sector.

“Being the first egg producer to join The Sustainability Consortium puts us at the forefront of bringing change to the way our industry produces, packages and transports a food that is enjoyed by most everyone,” Gabrielle Bartlett, CCF’s director of sustainability, said in a news release. “With this partnership, we’ll discover and create even more efficiencies in the food supply chain, and that means everyone benefits.”

Great Day Farms eggs are sold at Walmart and Target stores.
