C.R. Crawford Nears Completion of Academy; Opens Dec. 7 (Real Deals)
C.R. Crawford Construction Co. of Fayetteville is nearing completion of a 71,000-SF Academy Sports + Outdoors at 3864 N. Steele Blvd. in Fayetteville, just south of the Malco Razorback Cinema movie theater.
C.R. Crawford is using a building permit valued at $7.6 million to complete the project. It’s slated for a Dec. 7 opening.
Perry E. Seeberger of Houston is the architect.
BGA Engineers of Houston is the structural engineer.
Henderson Engineers Inc. of Lowell is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer.
Academy operates more than 150 stores in 12 states. The company operates five in Arkansas with one each in Fort Smith, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Sherwood and Rogers.
Hotel Acquisition
A 197-room, full-service hotel in Fayetteville sold recently for $1.5 million.
JGHG LLC, which lists Jasdeep Grewal as the registered agent, and Charles Wilkerson bought the Fayetteville Clarion Inn at 1255 S. Shiloh Drive, near Interstate 540 and U.S. Highway 62.
The seller was H&C Fayetteville Clarion LLC, led by C. David Curry.
Future plans include extensive room renovations. The on-site restaurant will also be renovated into a steakhouse.
The hotel was built in 1986, and sits on 7.05 acres. It produced $1.65 million in room revenue in 2011.
The property was most recently appraised in 2011 for $5 million.
Pinnacle Property
A 5,028-SF home in Phase IV of the Pinnacle subdivision of Rogers has a new owner after a $775,000 sale.
John McDowell bought the Plymouth Lane home from CKL LLC, led by Matt Kendall.
The deal was partially funded with a 15-year mortgage worth $620,000, held by Arvest Bank of Fayetteville.
The last appraisal for the property was $816,650 in 2011.
The five-bedroom, two-story home was built in 2008 on a half-acre lot.

Brooke Hernandez with Weichert Realtors — The Griffin Co. in Bentonville represented the seller.
Estate Sold
A 10,000-SF estate home on approximately 18 acres near Tontitown rang up a $620,000 sale.
Robert and Rosa Ainley bought the property on South Pianalto Road from Signature Bank of Arkansas.
PrimeLending of Dallas and Wayzata, Minn.-based TCF Bank financed the deal.
Signature Bank took ownership of the property in February 2011.
The previous owners, Michael and Jennifer Stephens, bought the property in 2004, for $248,000.
The home was built in 2005. It last appraised in 2010 for $916,350.
Misty Barnes with Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney Faucette in Rogers was the listing agent. The original list price was $799,900.
Auri Eves with Crye-Leike in Bentonville represented the seller.
