KHBS/KHOG-TV Launches Weekend Morning Newscasts

Local ABC affiliate KHBS/KHOG-TV, Channels 40-29, has launched the Northwest Arkansas market’s first live weekend morning newscast.
“40/29 News Sunrise” will air from 6 to 7 a.m. and 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The weekend edition of ABC’s “Good Morning America” will air starting at 7 a.m. both days.
John Paul, who has been with the station since September, will anchor the weekend show, joined by meteorologist Brittany Bell and reporter Ben Wagner.
Hearst Television Inc. of New York owns 40/29, which is based in Rogers.
The station has earned the distinction of having the best newscast in the Fort Smith/Fayetteville market for nine consecutive years, as judged by the Arkansas Associated Press Journalism Awards.
