Centerton Restaurant Owners Planning Second Venture

Bear and Crissy Hazelbaker, owners of the Centerton Inn Hometown Café for 15 years, have signed a three-year lease agreement to open a second location in Benton County.
The new restaurant, Bear’s Den, is expected to be open in early July. It will be open seven days a week, operating in a 6,200-SF building on Highway 12 in Bentonville across from the Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
The previous tenant, JC’s Catfish House, went out of business last year after a two-year run.
Rolin Park LLC of Hot Springs owns the building, acquired in 2006 for $1.25 million.
Hazelbaker said the 2,400-SF Centerton Inn would continue to operate as usual, with hours from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bear’s Den will keep the same hours Saturday through Wednesday. The restaurant will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
The Bear’s Den menu will be similar to the Centerton Inn’s, with numerous blue-plate specials and Fridays marked by all-you-can-eat catfish.
The larger venue and kitchen of the new location will allow for private parties and meetings, Hazelbaker added.
Craig Hull of Hull & Co. Commercial Real Estate in Rogers represented both parties in the lease transaction. Lease terms, not disclosed, are dependant on revenue and Hazelbaker will have the option to purchase during the first year.
