Clif Dwellers Coming to Dickson

While residential sales at The Dickson continue to be a challenge, there’s been some commercial activity worth reporting.

Clif Bar & Company, it seems, has struck a deal to finish out and occupy almost 2,900 SF on the second floor of the building. We’re told the company hopes to move into the space on Sept. 12.

Downtown Properties Real Estate Group Inc. and Sage Partners negotiated the five-year lease between West Dickson Street Development Co. LLC (the landlord) and Clif Bar.

Additionally, building owner Ted Belden has hired an unnamed national consulting firm to help determine the best use for the The Dickson’s ninth — and top — floor. The two most likely ideas at this point seem to be converting it into a boutique hotel or a membership-only lounge.

And speaking of lounges, Jeremy J. Brown has applied for a liquor license for 609 W. Dickson, Suite 101. That’s the space expected to become Nomads DownUnder, described on its Facebook page as an “international sandwich/dive bar shop.”
