Car-Mart Opens 108th Dealership

America’s Car-Mart Inc. opened a dealership in Albertville, Ala., on Aug. 9, bringing the number of lots it owns to 108.
The Bentonville-based company that specializes in the buy here/pay here segment of the used-car market also has lots in Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas.
Jeff Williams, the company’s chief financial officer, said in a news release Car-Mart expects to open lots at a 10 percent rate “into the future.”
Car-Mart was scheduled to release first-quarter 2012 earnings Aug. 18 after market close.
