Bentonville’s Chick-Fil-A continues to lead the pack in the city’s restaurant revenue totals. The Georgia-based chain posted $2.5 million in sales in 2010. That total reflects an increase of about 5 percent from 2009, its first full year in business at the Bentonville location.

Eurest Dining, the Walmart home office cafeteria, with $4.8 million in sales, was intentionally excluded. Also excluded from the top 10 were Sam’s Club and Walmart Supercenter Deli, due to the fact their primary business isn’t as that of a restaurant.

McDonald’s had three locations ranked No. 2 through No. 4 in Bentonville which produced a total revenue of $6.3 million in 2010, though two of those locations saw a slight decrease from their 2009 totals.

Buffalo Wild Wings saw a 14 percent increase from 2009, earning $1.68 million in 2010. That ranked tops among sit-down restaurants in the city. That was also the biggest percentage increase in revenue from 2009.

Panera Bread saw the third-largest revenue increase from its 2009 totals with 10.6 percent, bringing in $1.64 million in 2010.

Shogun Steakhouse of Japan ranked No. 6 ($1.65 million) and rounding out the top 10 were Taco Bell (No. 8 at $1.63 million), the SE 14th Street location of Sonic Drive-In (No. 9; $1.51 million) and Lin’s Garden Chinese Restaurant (No. 10; $1.49 million).

As a group, Bentonville’s top 10 restaurants totaled $18.4 million, an increase of 6.3 percent from 2009. All totals were based on figures obtained from the Bentonville A&P Commission, which collects a 1 percent tax on prepared foods and non-alcoholic beverages.
