Jay Plyburn recently was announced as the newest anchor/reporter at KHBS/KHOG-TV, which has news operations in Fort Smith and Fayetteville.
Plyburn will anchor 40/29 weekend news broadcasts while also serving as a reporter for the station and its website. He comes to the area from Midland, Texas, where he served a similar role for KMID-TV.
“Jay’s many talents, and his passion for telling great stories will bolster both our weekday and weekend news coverage,” KHBS/KHOG president and general manager Brian Sather said in a news release.
Plyburn is a graduate of Marshall University, where he worked for the school’s television and radio stations.
KHBS/KHOG-TV, the ABC and CW stations in Fort Smith/Fayetteville, are owned by Hearst Television Inc.
