Talking Head Helps Host Keet Fundraiser
Noelle Nikpour, the political consultant and strategist, served as co-host of a July 21 fundraiser for Jim Keet, the GOP candidate seeking to unseat Gov. Mike Beebe. She shared duties with Alison Melder of Little Rock, who works for the Jim Keet for Governor campaign, according to Richard Atkinson, Keet’s press secretary.
Nikpour, who has appeared on Sean Hannity’s program on Fox News as well as on “Showbiz Tonight” (discussing Tiger Woods’ marital troubles in one segment), among other TV programs, gained some notoriety a couple of years ago for her racy website, which showed her in bandeau top and very short shorts. (Her current site, Noelle-Nikpour.com, is considerably tamer.)
Atkinson said Nikpour’s and Melder’s co-hosting duties consisted of planning the fundraiser, picking out decorations and such. He said Nikpour is not working for the Keet campaign. Nikpour has raised money, however, for national Republican candidates such as Asa Hutchinson and Rudy Giuliani, according to her website.
For her part, Melder, on her Facebook page, says she’s employed as an event/fundraiser coordinator for Jim Keet for Governor. Her favorite quotation is “Love All … Trust Few,” and she shares a fetching photo of herself and a friend, both clad in bikinis, a photo that elicited a number of appreciative comments. Although the Whispers staff had not heard of Melder before the fundraiser, she had 3,041 Facebook friends as of the last week in July.
