Amicable split visits the AMP

It wasn’t exactly John dumping Paul (or did Paul dump John?), but we figured, like the Beatles and so many others, creative differences must’ve been at the root of an e-mail we received a couple of weeks ago.

It seems Southern Hospitality Management Company is no longer involved with the management, planning and/or operations of the Arkansas Music Pavilion.

Knowing both parties involved, we contacted Brian Crowne (AMP) and Lea Ann Van Winkle-Gisler (SHMC), and sure enough, our suspicions were confirmed. Both said there are no hard feelings, just a mutual decision to split and best wishes for their former partners.

For the record, Crowne and the other powers-that-be at the AMP will manage the remainder of this concert season internally.

Van Winkle-Gisler, meanwhile, has expanded SHMC’s operation to include an 18-foot trailer she deemed “a kitchen on wheels.” Containing a stainless steel grill, oven, fryer, refrigerator and freezer, the trailer will provide lunch service at various locations and also provide good eats at special events throughout the area. Check SHMC’s Facebook page for updated locations and menus.
