Community Makes Most of Arvest Ballpark

As of press time, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals were atop the Texas League North Division.

That’s commendable, indeed, but we must say it was another set of Arvest Ballpark-related numbers that really grabbed our attention. More than 566,000 people have attended Arvest Ballpark for community-type events other than baseball games over the last two years.

That number is even more impressive when compared to the roughly 816,000 who have attended Naturals games in their two-plus seasons here.

We also understand more than 20 local charities, such as chapters of the United Way, Red Cross, and National Autism Association have been helped by these non-baseball events. Donations of cash and other benefits, in fact, top the $200,000 mark.

Consider this our equivalent of a round of applause.
