Crossland Construction Begins Phase II of Don’s Cold Storage (Real Deals)

Crossland Construction Co. of Rogers recently purchased a building permit valued at $6.1 million for Phase II of Don’s Cold Storage and Transportation facility at 801 W. Easy St. in Rogers.

The facility provides more than 2.5 million cubic SF of cold storage.

Don Coenen is the president and general manager of the refrigerated warehouse and transportation company.

Phase II will add another 186,000 SF to the facility for a total SF of about 286,000.

A third phase is planned once Phase II is completed.

Henry Architecture of Bentonville is the architect for the project.

The project is expected to be complete by February 2009.

Circle of Life Hospice Expanding

Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.75 million to expand its facility at 901 Jones Rd.

The expansion will add 11,000 SF to the Earlene Howard Hospice House, the center’s inpatient facility.

The expansion, which will cost between $4 million and $5 million, includes eight additional patient suites, office space and a family room.

The center currently has 27,000 SF with a total of 16 patient rooms.

Commerce Construction is the general contractor on the project.

The anticipated completion date is May 2009.

Physicians’ Surgery Center Expanding

Rowland Companies Construction Group of Ft. Worth recently purchased a building permit valued at $1.16 million to expand the Physcians’ Surgery Center at 3873 N. Parkview Dr. in Fayetteville. The expansion will add 9,750 SF of surgical space to the facility.

Rowland Companies is the general contractor on the project. Polkinghorn Group Architects Inc. of Austin is the architect. Lightning Electric of Fayetteville is providing the electrical work.

Roth Homes Builds Rogers

Roth Custom Homes of Rogers recently bought four building permits for a total value of $718,770 to build single-family homes in the Dixieland Crossing and Biltmore neighborhoods in Rogers.

The homes will range in size from 1,700 to 2,600 SF.

They will be priced from $139,400 to $249,600.

Plans for the homes include granite countertops, custom cabinets, seamless crown molding, upgraded stainless steel appliances, whirlpool tubs and dual vanities.

John and Victoria McGowan of Exit Pinnacle Realty are the primary listing agents for the homes.

ARC Builds More Clabber Creek Homes

ARC Construction and Development of Rogers recently purchased five building permits valued at a total $662,121 to build single-family homes in the Clabber Creek subdivision.

Three homes will be built on Indian Oaks Drive and two will be built on Mahogany Drive for a total of 123 homes in two phases of the subdivision, which was started in March 2007. ARC will be the builder of the single-family homes.

The homes will range in size from 1,320 SF to 1,520 SF and in price from $139,900 to 159,900.

Amenities will include full brick exteriors, wood blinds, hardwood floors, granite countertops and tile floors in the kitchen, fireplaces, new appliances and fully-sodded lawns.

Some of the homes also include whirlpool tubs and privacy fences.

Sean T. Morris of Walker & Associates of Centerton is the primary listing agent for the homes. The homes are expected to be completed by March 2008. Eighty-seven of the homes have been sold.

ARC bought the Clabber Creek lots from BMW Investments LLC of Springdale in 2007 for $3.82 million. Ralph O. Walker is the president of ARC.

Sam Mathias, Bleaux Barnes and Curtis Wray are the principals of BMW.

Salter’s Savana Home Sells

A 4,400-SF home in the Savana Estates neighborhood of Fayetteville sold for $626,000.

Reagen Craig Kirkland acquired the home from Justin and Susan Salter.

The Salters purchased the home from Dennis and Rita Fulbright in 2003 for $545,000.

Susan Salter is the daughter of John Ed Chambers, chairman and CEO of Chambers Bancshares Inc. of Danville, and Justin Salter is the president of Chambers Bank of North Arkansas.

Johanson Group Builds New Office

Fayetteville’s Johanson Group is building a $600,000 office building on McKee Circle, two doors down from their existing space, built in 2000.

The 5,000 SF building will include 21 to 22 individual offices, a conference room, a small kitchen and a work room with a copy and fax machine.

Each office will lease for about $400 to $450 per month with utilities and Internet access included. Rents will be discounted for those leasing multiple offices.

Atlas Construction of Fayetteville is the general contractor on the project.

The office building is expected to be complete by late January 2009.

Goshen Home Trades Hands

A Goshen home on Beave-O-Rama Road sold for $533,000.

James and Tamrya Fish purchased the home from Randall and Shelly Carney.

The 4,936-SF home was built in 1999 and includes a swimming pool and a 690-SF general-purpose barn.

The property was purchased by the Carneys in 2007 for $600,000.
