Two Van Buren Hotels Under Construction

Van Buren will be getting two new hotels soon, bringing the total number of rooms in the city to 355, a 37 percent increase from the 259 rooms available now.

Rupe Building Co., of Tulsa, is constructing a Sleep Inn. The 31,120-SF project is valued at $2.4 million, and will be three stories, with 58 rooms, an exercise area and an indoor pool, according to the Rupe Building Co. Web site.

Construction has also recently begun on a Holiday Inn Express.

Van Buren Lodging LLC, of Irving, Texas, is developing the project, also valued at $2.4 million, according to the building permit. The 47,547-SF hotel will be four stories with 68 rooms.
