Staffmark topped the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal’s annual list of recruiters with 35 area employees working in executive and professional placement.
But the big jumps were at Cameron Smith Associates and newcomer to the list, Technisource. Cameron Smith added eight employees to its rolls, while Technisource increased its staff by 10.
Also new to the list is Stout Executive Search, which was founded in 2006 by Marvelyn Stout.
Big changes took place at HR Factor, as the general and part-time staffing division of the company split off in April, merging with SkillSpan Staffing to form FirstStaff.
FirstStaff has eight offices around the state, and deals in temporary, project and onsite staffing. HR Factor now focuses mostly on executive placement and human resources consulting services.
“It made sense to separate them from a management perspective,” said Don Marr, president of HR Factor.
The HR consulting side of the business specializes in labor strategy, department reviews, regulation compliance and assisting a company with any project its internal HR department doesn’t have the staff to deal with or issues outside its core competency.
The goal for the executive recruitment side of the business is to become more specialized in placement within certain industry segments and to grow the company outside of Northwest Arkansas, Marr said.
