The Northwest Arkansas Home & Garden Show had its second largest attendance in its history.
Held March 2-4 at the Hammons Convention Center in Rogers, the show saw 11,976 people strolling through its doors, up from 7,100 last year.
The Northwest Arkansas Home Builders Association printed the tickets the same size as dollar bills and easily tallied attendance with a money counter.
Saturday was the big day with 6,500 people in attendance. A closer look shows that 1,334 people entered the center within the first hour and foot traffic never dropped below 800 per hour.
The show featured 170 exhibitors.
The AHBA didn’t have a dollar amount figured, but 11,976 people at $5 per ticket gets them close to $60,000, plus fees on exhibits. Proceeds from the event help fund the AHBA’s operations.
