St. Edward nurse receives Patriot Award

Debbie Bader, St. Edward Mercy Labor & Delivery nurse manager, earned a Patriot Award from The Arkansas Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, in recognition for her extraordinary support of employees who serve in the Arkansas National Guard and Reserves.

Bader was nominated by St. Edward Mercy clinical nurse manager, Captain Kim Sosebee.

“The past couple of years have been a high tempo pace for our unit (188th Fighter Wing). Debbie has been extremely supportive in allowing me to be flexible with my schedule so I can continue to serve with our local Air National Guard,” Capt. Sosebee said in a hospital statement. “I realize also that she covers me while I am gone and remains selfless in her actions. She would have made a wonderful member of our unit but has found her place by supporting the individuals that are members. I cannot thank her enough.”
