The Prairie Grove-based Grammy-nominated group, Trout Fishing in America recorded a concert for the Arkansas Educational Television Network on Feb. 11.

The concert was performed before an audience of about 1,000 at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Dick Renko, the group’s manager, said AETN will use the concert for fundraising as well as general programming. The concert should air sometime in December, he said.

The group recorded a music-only version of the concert for a CD, which should be released around September, Renko said.

Trout was nominated for the Grammy awards in 2002 for the CD “inFINity” and again in 2004 for “Merry Fishes to All.” Both were for the “best musical album for children” category.

The group recorded a video for a PBS fundraising event at the “Austin City Limits” stage in 1998. The show was broadcasted in 60 to 100 markets, Renko said, and Trout has sold about 300,000 copies of the CD that came out of that concert.
